Superscript and Subscript

Superscript and subscript allow us to type characters that appear above and below the normal text line. These characters appear smaller than normal text and are used to write footnotes, endnotes, scientific and mathematical notations.

Superscript- Superscript allow us to type characters that appear above the normal text line.

We can add superscript by using following steps:-
  • First we need to place the cursor where we want to add superscript text.
  • Now we can click x2 button which is located at the Font group of Home tab
  • Now we can type text that we want to superscript
  • Also we can add superscript using shortcut key Ctrl + Shift +

Subscript- Subscript allow us to type characters that appear below the normal text line.

We can add subscript by using following steps:-
