Merging Cells
- First we need to select the cells we want to merge
- Now under Merge group on the Layout tab we can click Merge Cells button
- We can also merge cells by right mouse button
- First we need to select the cells then we can click Right mouse button
- Now a popup menu will appear
- Using this menu we can click Merge Cells option
Splitting Cells
- First we need to select the cell(s) we want to split
- Now under Merge group on the Layout tab we can click Split Cells button
- Now Split Cells dialog will appear. In this dialog we can enter Number of columns and Number of rows according to our specification and then we can click OK button.
Table Autoformat
Autoformats are predefined table formats and using these formats we can quickly give our table a professional design look.
We can use these formats using following steps:
- First we need to click the table
- Now under Table Styles group on the Design tab we can select required predefined table format.
- Now the table will have the chosen format
