Inserting symbols
MS word allows us to add characters beyond the keyboard's 26 letters of alphabets, numbers, and punctuation marks.
Steps to insert symbols
- In the Symbols group on the Insert tab, we can click the Symbol command button
- Now a list of some popular or recently used symbols appears. By selecting a symbol from the menu we can insert the special symbol directly into our document (where we currently have the insertion pointer)
- Also, we can use More symbols... option if a special symbol is not present in the displayed menu.
