Inserting/Deleting cells, Rows and Columns

In MS Excel, you can insert and delete cells, rows, and columns to modify the structure of your worksheet. Here's how to do it:

Inserting cells, rows, and columns:

  • Select the cells, rows, or columns adjacent to where you want to insert new cells, rows, or columns.
  • Right-click on the selected cells, rows, or columns and choose "Insert" from the context menu.
  • In the Insert dialog box, choose the option you want to insert (cells, rows, or columns).
  • Click OK.
Alternatively, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts to insert cells, rows, or columns:
  • To insert cells, press "Ctrl + Shift + +".
  • To insert rows, right-click on the row number and choose "Insert" from the context menu, or press "Ctrl + Shift + +".
