Changing Color, Size, Font, Alignment of Text
You can change the color, size, font, and alignment of text in a worksheet using the formatting options available in MS Excel. Here are the steps to do so:
Changing color:
- Select the cells that you want to change the color of.
- Click on the "Fill Color" button in the Home tab of the ribbon.
- Choose a color from the dropdown menu or click on "More Colors" to select a custom color.
Changing size and font:
- Select the cells that you want to change the size or font of.
- Click on the "Font" dropdown menu in the Home tab of the ribbon.
- Choose a font and font size from the list.
Changing alignment:
- Select the cells that you want to change the alignment of.
- Click on the "Alignment" button in the Home tab of the ribbon.
- Choose the alignment options you want from the options provided.
You can also use keyboard shortcuts to quickly format text:
- To bold text, press "Ctrl + B" on Windows or "Command + B" on Mac.
- To italicize text, press "Ctrl + I" on Windows or "Command + I" on Mac.
- To underline text, press "Ctrl + U" on Windows or "Command + U" on Mac.
- To change the font size, press "Ctrl + Shift + >" to increase the size or "Ctrl + Shift + <" to decrease the size on Windows. On Mac, use "Command + +" to increase the size or "Command + -" to decrease the size.
