LED

LED

LED stands for Light-emitting diodes. It uses an array of light-emitting diodes as pixels for a video display. As per diodes arrangement LED Screens are of three types direct LEDs, edge LEDs, and RGB LEDs.

In the direct LEDs, white diodes are placed all over the LED panel

In the edge LEDs white diodes are placed on the border of the LED panel.

In RGB LED panel red, green and blue diodes are placed all over the LED panel or placed on the border of the LED panel.

Advantages of LED

  • Slim design
  • Provide a brighter image
  • 10 times longer lifespan than LCDs
  • Low power consumption than LCD
Disadvantages of LED
  • LEDs are more expensive
  • Its performance depends upon correct engineering
  • Change in temperature affects its quality.
