A Fax machine or Facsimile machine is a machine that can send and receive documents over a telephone line. The fax machine translates an image into a series of zero's and one's and transmits it to the receiving fax machine, receiving fax machine reads the incoming data and translates 0's and 1's series back into an image and reprints it.
Types of Fax machine
Inkjet fax machine- Inkjet Fax machine uses similar technology as an inkjet printer and plotter, which is spraying of small ink droplets to form an image/text and these are suitable for a small number of daily uses. Its cartridge can print around 400 pages.
Laser Fax machine- Laser Fax machine uses similar technology as a laser printer. It uses dry toner to create high-quality print outs and its cartridge can print around 5000 pages.
Thermal Fax machine- Thermal Fax machines are based on thermal printer technology and have fewer moving parts inside, that may these machines tend to last long. These fax machines do not need an ink cartridge as they only need thermal paper itself.
